Terms of use

For the Drive Everywhere app for iPhone. The app asks you to agree to these the first time you open it.

About these terms

These terms are for using the Drive Everywhere app. They add to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app from the App Store. By agreeing to them and using the app, you accept both.

What the app is for

Drive Everywhere is for driving instructors to run their own lessons: booking them, keeping track of their students and the payments they record.

Your records are on your iPhone

Everything you enter is kept only on your iPhone. We don't have a copy, so we can't get it back for you. If you delete the app, or lose or reset your iPhone, what you've entered is lost unless it's in your iPhone's own backup (to iCloud or a computer). Keeping a backup is up to you.

Check the figures

Arrears, payments and other figures are worked out from what you enter. Check them before you rely on them, such as before asking a student for money.

Your students' information

You decide what to record about your students, and you're responsible for it under data protection law. That means letting them know what you keep and why, keeping it accurate, deleting it when you no longer need it, and keeping your iPhone secure with a passcode.

Take extra care with information about anyone under 18, and with anything about a student's health, such as a learning difficulty.

Please don't send us your students' details in support emails or app feedback. Describe the problem instead, or cover their details in screenshots.

Not advice

Nothing in the app is financial, tax, legal or medical advice. The reading-friendly font may make text easier to read for some people, but it isn't a treatment for any condition.

Usage and crash data

If you agree, the app shares how it's used and any crashes with us, as the privacy policy explains. You can change your mind at any time in Settings.

Other services

Searching for an address uses Apple Maps, and calling a student uses your Phone app. These are provided by Apple under its own terms.

Changes to the app

We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering the app. We'll try to keep it working well, but can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Otherwise, as you use the app to run a business, we aren't responsible for lost income, business, profit or data, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen.

If you use the app as a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don't affect.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the app will ask you to agree to the new version before you carry on using it.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts.
